Heroes of Harmony :Podar Jumbo Kids, Nahuli Celebrating Bapu and Shastriji

At Podar Jumbo Kids, Nahuli, we  joyfully celebrated Gandhiji and Shashtriji Jayanti on 2nd October with our special event “ Heroes of Harmony celebrating Bapu and Shashtriji” This event honoured  Mahatma Gandhi , The first President of Podar Eduction group, who was fondly called the “Indian Mickey Mouse” by Sarojini Naidu, and Lal Bhahadur Shastri the second Prime Minister of India , known for his inspiring slogan, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.

At Podar Jumbo Kids, Nahuli, we aim for our children – the future of our country- to grow up knowing, relating to and loving these great leaders, and to follow in their footsteps. “Heroes of Harmony : Celebratin Bapu and Shashtriji” features a wonderful collection of activities that help children revisit history and pay tribute to the father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and our second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri

Activities and skills development:

  1. Dandi March: A unique pad yatra by kids and parents, promoting family bonding and health through walking together.
  2. Salt Satyagraha : This activity connects children to historical events, helping them .

 

  1. Bapu’s and Shastris life in pictures  : A kids history museum showcasing Bapu life in pictures generating interest in historical displays and museums.

 

  1. Mud house [ Bapu and Vatika]: Time spent in a quiet ,calm atmosphere, enhancing focus and attention through meditation.

 

  1. Swadeshi Attire- Choti si dhoti- Children will learn to wrap Swadeshi cloth like Bapu and Shastriji , appreciating their simplicity and love for nation.

 

  1. Bapu ke Bandar – Teaching children good habits for everyday lfe

 

  1. Puppet show : A unique and engaging puppet show about Mahatma Gandhi

 

  1. Potter and weaver activity : pottery and weaving experiences and to promote make in India movement as well as  small scale industry.

 

These activities are designed not only to celebrate Gandhiji and Shashtriji but also to nurture the five essential early childhood skills, laying a strong foundation for future learning and live.

 

On this special day, the Headmistress, Ms Rekha Shah, expressed gratitude to the chairman of Podar World School’s, Shri Raghav Podar for his continuous support and guidance.
