Sports Day at Podar Jumbo Kids, Nahuli, Daman, Chala and Gunjan is a celebration of play. Since they follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum from UK, the international play movement says that, most of the social and intellectual skills one needs to succeed in life and work are first developed through childhood play. Children learn to control their impulses, they learn to solve problems, negotiate, think creatively, and work as a team. And for Podar Jumbo Kids, Sports day is about developing these skills through the different events that are part of their sports event.

As leaders in early childhood education, Podar Jumbo Kids have been for the past few years organizing their sports day in a way so that the true spirit of sports for early childhood is achieved. They believe that every child is a winner since in little children sports is not about, running the race, or racing against another child, or some children are winners and some are losers. All this is against the principles of early childhood. Sports should be about togetherness, frolicking in the outdoor, everybody winning and that is the essence that Podar Jumbo Kids truly upholds and is working on coaxing others to follow. Thus the AnnualSports Day2024-25 saw the participation of children from Podar Jumbo Kids on the theme of “Podar’s Sports Science Synergy”.As they believe that social competition has no place in early childhood and is in fact detrimental to the social and emotional growth of children, the Sports Day event mentioned that every child at Podar Jumbo Kids is a winner and to support this they requested the parents to come in casual wear and cheer the participation spirit in their children. They also requested the parents that when they cheer their children in the various events, their eyes should not focus on who is leading or on the finish line, but the skills that their child is picking up with every event. They also had races for parents and teachers too so that the children can also have some fun and frolic. The school heads thanked Mr. Raghav Podar, Gem of India Award winner, and Chairman of the Podar World schools who appreciated the students for their dedication, devotion and sincerity towards their spirit of participation.
