15 year old girl Delivers At Home By Watching YouTube, Strangles Newborn

 

A 15 year old girl delivered a baby at her home by watching YouTube videos and killed the newborn in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on Sunday. 

 

The girl was allegedly sexually exploited by a man whom she met on social media. The man has been identified as Ramesh Thakur by the police.

 

The official said to maintain secrecy, the girl, a resident of Ambazari area, hit upon the idea of home delivery and started watching YouTube videos. She gave birth to a girl at her home on 2 march and immediately killed the newborn. She hid the body in a box in her home.

 

The girl narrated her misery to her mother, following which she was taken to a hospital. The body of the child was sent for postmortem.

 

A case was filed under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The charge of murder will be adjured after receiving a postmortem report.
